New RethinkIR webseries: Telling better stories

Q4 Web Systems ? in partnership with Falls Communications ? will be producing a new monthly web series called RethinkIR. The purpose of the series is for Q4 Founder & CEO Darrell Heaps and Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Falls Communications, Rob Berick to discuss with industry leaders new and different ways that IROs can engage investors and RethinkIR.
For this first episode, broadcasting live on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at 2 PM EST, Darrell and Rob will be discussing the importance of effective corporate storytelling in an investor relations program. Their guest for this month’s episode is Matt Sonefeldt, Head of Investor Education at LinkedIn Corp (NYSE:LNKD).
Together, Darrell, Rob and Matt will discuss both what makes a compelling corporate story for investors, as well as the various channels to deliver your story to them. In this hour-long discussion, you will learn:
- The art and science of corporate storytelling
- The importance of knowing how people react and respond to your story and using that sentiment to better reach them.
- Expand your corporate reporting to properly position your differentiated investment proposition.

Matt acquired his undergraduate degree in Communications and Education from UCLA. He commenced his career in the investor relations field when he began conducting investment research for a mutual fund company. Later, Matt joined AmeriCorps, which led him to teach at an Indian reservation.
Matt went on to pursue his MBA from Presidio Graduate School, with a focus in Sustainable Business Management. Before joining LinkedIn as Head of Investor Education, Matt worked at American Funds, Capital Group, and The Aspen Institute.
